Awana Ceremony

Last night was award night for Awana. All the kids got up and sang songs, said three different pledges, and then each group were reconginzed for their attendance and accomplishments.

Jolie's group went first and they sang a little song and did the hand motions to it. Her group is known as the Puggles and they were so cute. In August she will move up to the Cubbies (I think). She got her certificate and pack of skittles.

Josie's group went second. Different children said Bible verses that they had learned. Josies' Bible verse was "Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:39." She did great. I thought she would be too embarassed to say it into the microphone, but she did and I was so proud of her. After the different children said their Bible verses they handed out the children's certificates and "candy award." Josie was given a ring pop because "she is such a gem." Josie will move up to the group this August.

After the ceremony all the kids got snow cones. Again, we are so proud of both girls at how well they have done learning their Bible verses. They have loved going to church on Wednesday nights and are already looking forward to next year.
